Join us at the Native American Cultural Encampment in June at Roaring River Park in Scio, Oregon, presented by the Native American Cultural Encampments with Deitrich Peters and friends. Learn how to put up a tipi, try making your own plant cordage, make a leather pouch, buy some Native made items, buy a raffle ticket, enjoy a free meal on Sunday afternoon, and see some amazing pow-wow style dancing! Deitz will explain about elements of the regalia worn by the dancers and what they symbolize (cultural and personal significance). This is a great way to get to know Native people and culture in a relaxed, informal and friendly way.
