In this fun summer day camp, children learn all about the history of Mayan and Mexican cultures, including cooking, crafts, animals, songs & dancing, nature studies and more! Enrollment is through our instructor, Veronica Alvarado.
Additionally, Elda Carillo is our Guatemalan language (Mam) interpreter for this camp. Together these two vibrant, caring women lead two weeks of camp each summer.
Children are picked up each day from a central location in Cottage Grove by South Lane Wheels, with Elda riding along, and they are returned each day back to the same location. This project is in collaboration with the Cottage Grove Family Resource Center.
For more information or to enroll, contact Karen Rainsong at director@singingcreekcenter.org or 541 968-1986. (Karen only speaks/understands basic Spanish so will refer you to Veronica to complete your enrollment.)
