Each year in Spring and Fall, SCEC teaches the Kalapuya Ways program for Outdoor School in the Dorena area, for hundreds of children.

We provide a 45 minute unit on the First Peoples of the Willamette Valley area, including either a stick dice game activity or throwing atlatls in the field (if the weather is good.) Children at outdoor school rotate between activities including our teaching.

We have been providing this education for Grove Christian Camp for many years, and are happy to once again be participating in Spring 2025.
